I have been working with clay since 2004, and in 2009 embarked on a part-time Foundation Degree in Ceramics at Newcastle College, graduating with distinction, in 2013. During that time, I exhibited at the Shipley Art Gallery, Gateshead, and at the Arts Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, and sold my work at Potfest Scotland (2011), Potfest in the Pens, Penrith (2013), Rufford Earth & FIre (2012 & 2013) and Hatfield Art in Clay (2013). Getting my degree in Ceramics gave me the confidence to swap the corporate suit for a clay-covered apron, and to work full-time from my studio at home in Newcastle upon Tyne. In 2019, I have embarked on the exciting adventure of relocating to Singapore, where I hope to continue my experiments with clay, incorporating more exotic scenery into my work!
Since graduating, I have shown work in numerous locations, including at Potfest in Penrith, Holmfirth Art Fair, Saltaire Arts Trail, Crafted by Hand in Masham, British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate, Living Crafts in Hatfield, and supply a number of
wonderful galleries around the country, and abroad.
I am an associate member of the Craft Potters Association.
